This month of September and renewal and awakening and wondrous springtime I am going to tell you about a magical experience you could benefit from. I want to talk about the 7 day retreats I run in a peaceful seaside resort 1 hr out of Cape Town. We use the Dr. Bernard Jensen protocol of cleansing drinks and micronutrients to help the body truly detox. We help the process with a twice a day internal cleanse, massage, reflexology, lymphasizing, and walks in the mountain and on the beach. We watch motivational DVDs and laugh a lot. The juices and soups keep you going as you fast and detox. By the time you leave you wont want to. For me to watch how people respond, de-stress and regain their vitality is the gift I receive. Treat yourself. With love. Nola
It can get very confusing to walk into a health shop. We get bombarded by the multitude of vitamins, minerals, varying imported brand names.
How do we choose what we used to sustain a balanced physiology and inner calm amidst the stress and turbulence all around us?
Its also quite expensive to utilize what the advertisements instruct us to buy. Where to start and who to talk to and trust?
And so we tend to forget the most important component in the equation. We forget to tune in and ask what it is we most need.
What on a daily basis can I do to ful fil what my being needs. Often we need to break a limb, literally, or get ill – or a catastrophic event occurs to show us direction.
We have to have our inner listener awoken so that we can hear our higher selves clearly. We are all so unique and individual. Each one of us have different needs, at different times. I find that swallowing a fistful of vitamins and supplements each day doesn’t work for me. I used to be conscious about the combination of foods I am ingesting and how I prepare them. I used to be aware of the way restaurants are operating, so I get exactly what I want to get on my plate, when I order a meal.
I need to be discerning about which restaurants I frequent. I try to keep to a vegetarian diet, eating fish occasionally. Alcohol, coffee and other stimulants I try to keep to a low minimum, “occasional” exercise and fresh air, and positive enthusiastic friends are very important ingredients in my daily diet. Positive self talk and laughter and making bungles and mistakes and gratitude for the learnings are wonderful nourishment as well.
So its all about allowing, gentle forgiveness of self and others and drinking in that elixir, the energy of the universe and staying in the groove of the flow.

There is wisdom of the head, and wisdom of the heart.
